SOUND:

We designed this system to have a split personality. It's loud and aggressive when you want it; civilized and restrained when you need it. It really brings out the lopey American V8 sound, however the X-Pipe design gives it a hint of exotic mid-engined tone. Check out our videos below to hear for yourself!

POWER:

The factory NPP (Valved) exhaust on the C8 Corvette flows pretty well with the valves open. However, with the valves closed it chokes the exhaust flow. Comparing the NPP exhaust with valves open to our Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust with valves open, we saw peak gains of 4 whp and 6 ft/lbs of TQ. Comparing the two in valves closed mode, measured at the wheels we saw peak gains of 11.5 hp and 10ft/lbs of TQ, and curve gains as much as 14 hp and 15 ft/lbs of TQ. So whether you're in the comfortable valves closed mode or ripping around valves open, our Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System flows well and makes great power. We expect to see even more gains when compared to a C8 equipped with the base (non--valved) exhaust.

NOTES:

• On 2021+ models, you MUST keep the NPP valve bodies plugged in the entire time during installation, if you disconnect them it will cause a CEL that will require reinstallation of the factory exhaust system to clear.
• On most 2020 models, to avoid having a check engine light, you will need to take your C8 to a GM dealership after the exhaust installation to get an AFM and NPP valve relearn procedure

These sport cats feature German made HJS 200 cell EURO 6 EC certified compliant tri-metallic catalytic converters. We use enlarged piping from the engine side to the cat, and from the cat to the rest of the exhaust. These are the largest and highest flowing catalytic converters you can fit on the 2020+ Corvette C8. Larger catalytic converters are better because they allow for more exhaust flow and the increased catalysts surface area allows for better exhaust gas filtering which means emissions compliance and will NOT trigger a check engine light. Our Sport Cats are a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory C8 catalytic converters. Designed in collaboration and partnership with HJS Germany Emissions technology Fabspeed is HJS Germany's official partner for Corvette C8 licensed systems.

We dyno tested these Sport Cats on a Z51 package C8 that had the NPP valved exhaust. At the wheels we gained 6 HP and 6 ft/lbs TQ at the peak and curve gains as much as 9 hp and 9ft/lbs of TQ over the stock catalytic converters. Both dyno runs were done with the valves open on the NPP exhaust.

Why We Choose HJS Catalytic Converters: 

HJS German imported catalytic converters are made from some of the highest grade materials you can find in a catalytic converter. This yields high performance gains and longevity so it wont deteriorate over time like lower grade catalytic converters. These catalytic converters flow up to 93-95% of a straight pipe in most applications. The benefit is that you get the "straight pipe sound" while still being able to provide enough emissions scrubbing to prevent a check engine light.
